Back from the new hiding spot

Not having the luxury of internet connection prevented me from doing the ordinary-expressing frustration on this ugly looking blog. This is the first posting from my newly build office with super high–tech gadget that somehow works in a manner that I don’t really understand, more of sorry and please re login than the usual congratulation.

Tun Ghafar reached the end of a journey few days back, amazingly people will be more popular the moment any doctors pronounced their death. All this while he was left in loneliness, spending golden years on his own, following the entire struggle. After the grand funeral more and more people came up with marvelous praise as if they’re in the late Tun Ghafar’s fan club. I always remember him as an old man who used to be a deputy prime minister.

Down with the first quarter, not much an achievement for me in 2006. It started with full steam but slowly decreasing to harmful bubbles. No critical mission and plan for me, just continuing the plain lazy saga. I wish my novel cinta melayu can be completed by mid-year, surely without any hope of lucrative return.

The heartthrobs, Danial and Deena are the real motivation for me. They are starting to be and more and more interesting in their own way. Wishing me luck every time I walked out the door, and adorable welcome gesture the moment I walk-in; priceless.

NAZA came up with a new model, Sutera. I watched the launching. It is kind of confusing having National car that is imported from Korea and forcing the nation to be proud of it. Another man getting richer yet thousands are suffering due to the inflation. Just watch Bersamamu and you will understand. I’m ok with my Iswara, thanks anyway Pak Lah.

Low Cost Carrier Terminal

We went to Medan last week; it was a family holiday, 16 of us on the Air Asia air-plane. An exciting journey; but let me tell you about the Low Cost Carrier Terminal before proceeding with stories about Medan.

It is a low cost terminal, nothing more. The services and the facilities is a big statement saying, ‘this is what you get when you pay cheap price ticket’.

The location
Far from the city, the only way to get there with a public transport is to take a bus from KL Central. If you have small children and big luggage you need to add RM120(taxi) into your budget. Unless you wouldn’t mine asking friends to send you there.

Airport food
There’s a McDonalds beside the entrance door, selling the value meals RM3 to RM4 higher than your local McD, why? Apparently ‘airport rate’ is the popular answer, but the set-up and the staff was more the less the same with the outlet in Teluk Intan or even worse (Teluk Intan takde McD). The restaurants floor was slippery due to the food and drinks on the floor along with the small space in between tables which is just good enough for ‘flyweight’ boxer.

Check-in girls
They really hate their job; a conclusion that you can make if you see the staff at the check-in counter. They don’t smile, not even looking at me while asking about the bags and passport. All I can see was their thick-striking-multi colored eye-shadow.

The Restroom
A bit stinky for an airport; but it was ok compared to the toilets in Teluk Intan Bus-Station.

Boarding hall
To all smokers; forget about your fag the moment you checked-in. There’s no smoking room coz it might add another million to the building cost of 108 million. Remember, this is a low cost airport; so bring along your own cheap chair into the boarding gate because the number of chairs are limited. Make sure you bring some books and food into the waiting room; it could be a long-long wait before they open the gate.

I’ll post some photos taken in Medan tomorrow.
