Selamat Hari Raya to all.

It is impossible to ignore the name Zakaria for the past month, a case of too little too late. A 2-storey house standing at the height of 4- storey building is just too big to be a house, more of a mansion or even a palace. It was there for too long; hardly notice by the town Council officers and untouchable to the normal populace.

He was a gate-keeper, maybe it was a gate build from gold and diamond, scrapping a gram or two everyday, he managed to accumulate the wealth and build up a mansion - for the large family that is. Or he could have wrongly used his power to live the life of rich and famous – the dream of every soul in Malaya.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu must have done wonders to its staff, coz the gate-keeper turn to be hero in society, or maybe Zakaria was one of a kind, a genius in disguise, harnessing his energy towards an undoubtedly challenging goal to be in the corridors of power. Or was he just being lucky that none of the well educated Malays took up the challenge? Most of them ignores politics and continue with their own life, down in the dumps into the world of silent majority.

Everyone knows about all the big mansions scattered around the country, amazingly big with massive pedigree of doubt and dishonesty. Why does it take an Indian man, R Nadeswaran to dig out the ugly behaviors of the leaders? Where are the well educated beautiful Malay writers? Citizen Nades is still alive and kicking in The Sun, why worry so much on the pay-back? Comfort Zone, maybe.

What’s next? Is Zakaria’s episode to be the beginning of a massive cleaning at, or is it going to be a one time punishment to cover-up other important issues such as the mounting pressure from the former and the heavily criticized son in-law( a bit on the soundless side these days).

An extravagance facelift to the current administration is long overdue; the flaws are too obvious to be ignored and a resilient plastic surgeon is needed now more than ever. It is not just simple cover-up; it needs a totally different face with couple of new features that Nip/Tuck would take their hats off.

I took a long time off from blogging, just to concentrate on the Hari Raya celebration and thank god it was running smooth as planned. Empty pocket – the results of succumbing to spirit of celebration did hit me on the forehead.

I’ll continue to be and observers, and a chichidodoo for the moment.
